Following a highly competitive tender process, SSE Enterprise Telecoms was selected and committed to delivering dark fibre routes between Everest’s sites, in particular between London Docklands and Reading, and also between Slough and London Docklands, ensuring that all the high-specification facilities were fully connected. This deal also allows us to deliver a comprehensive range of cost-effective network services to Everest Data Centres customers taking space at the new site.
One of the main reasons that SSE Enterprise Telecoms was chosen was because of our ability to deliver a fibre rich network within close proximity of Everest’s new facility in Reading, as well as direct network routes between the company’s core sites. By providing this three site fibre network, we were also able to simply deliver Ethernet, Internet access and wavelength services.
Everest Data Centres need to ensure its brand new 66,180 square foot facility, located in the heart of the Thames Valley in Reading, was connected to the company’s existing sites in Slough and London Docklands. Our highly reliable and resilient core network is doing just that.
We helped Everest Data Centres to connect its new 1,000 rack, 6 MVA facility in Reading with its other sites, by implementing a diverse three site dark fibre network connection, linking the company’s expanding infrastructure. This solution has also been built with the future in mind, our scalable and agile network is able to accommodate further expansion as Everest extends its UK presence with additional next generation data centres. Indeed, the firm is currently in the early stages of designing and planning a new 800 rack facility in the M25 periphery, which will have an equally impressive specification to the latest site in Reading.
